Japanese scientists will talk about vegetable breeding and onion fusarium.November 14, at 13 in the Central Library of the University will be ascientific seminar. The speakers are Japanese scientists - Dr. Kazunori
Sasaki and M.S. Satoshi Fujito. In the framework of the international
Russian-Japanese RSF project, our University was visited by foreign
colleagues. For two weeks they have performed experiments at the Center of
Molecular Biotechnology. Also they have a training course on the molecular
cytogenetic methods which were developed by our scientists.On Wednesday, Japanese scientists will give lectures at the seminar. So,
Dr. Kazunori Sasaki will talk about genetic diversity and the pathogenic
genes of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Cepae, common in Japan. The title of his
work is “Genetic diversity and pathogenicity of genes of Fusarium oxysporum
f. sp. cepae in Japan. Satoshi Fujito will talk about vegetable breeding in
Japan; his presentation is titled “Introduction to vegetable breeding in
Japan”.The working language of the seminar is English.Students, PhD students, researchers and lecturers welcome to the seminar!
